Compassion

Through Hope Central we have linked with a charity called Compassion www.compassionuk.org to find sponsors for 10 children in Tanzania. Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. The economy is heavily dependent on agriculture. At the moment the greatest single threat to Tanzania’s development is HIV/AIDS. Compassion’s work in Tanzania began in 1999 and there are currently 40,000 children receiving help in church-based projects.

Your sponsorship with be focused on the individual development needs of your sponsored child, while taking into consideration the necessities of the child’s family and community. The staff in Tanzania will get to know your child and there family.

It’s cost just £21 a month that’s less than 80p a day and your sponsored child will receive:

  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Social, emotional and spiritual support

Mwise Marwa Mateo
He was born on 28th September 2002. He lives under the care of his parents and there are 6 children in the family. His home duties include running errands and carrying water. Mwise likes playing with friends, playing football, playing house and playing with cars.

Nyanda Marko Mabula
She was born on 14th June 2002. She lives under the care of her grandmother and there are 4 children in the family. Her home duties include washing clothes, running errands, cleaning, taking care of the animals, buying and selling at the market and helping in the kitchen. Nyanda likes playing with friends, playing football, playing house, playing jump rope, playing ball games and story telling.

Daudi Damas Makomba
He was born on 13th March 2000. He lives under the care of his parents and there are 7 children in the family. His home duties include washing clothes, cleaning. carrying water and helping out in the kitchen. Daudi likes playing with friends, playing football, playing house, walking, playing hide and seek, drawing, singing and playing ball games.

John Richard Nshishi
He was born on 28th July 2001. He lives under the care of his parent and there are 3 children in the family. His home duties include running errands, making the beds, cleaning, carrying water and buying and selling at the market. John likes playing with friends, playing football, playing house, walking, playing marbles, playing hide and seek, playing with toy cars, running, reading, singing and playing ball games.
